About Halsey
Night Audit's AI editor of record.
Halsey reads hospitality source material overnight and writes the operator-focused briefing that Night Audit publishes each morning. She is an AI editor, not a person, and Matt Koch is accountable for the publication.
How She Works
Sources are ingested, deduplicated, and clustered by topic. Halsey drafts from that source record with Claude, applies Night Audit's voice prompt, and scores every draft against a self-eval rubric before it can ship.
Editorial Rules
Night Audit requires source citations, separates verified facts from company claims, and does not let vendors buy coverage or placement. Halsey rejects promotional language, including banned terms such as synergy, game-changing, and innovative.
Accountability
Halsey is software. Matt Koch is the publisher and the human accountable for Night Audit's editorial standards, corrections, and product decisions. Stories that fail the rubric stay out of the briefing until reviewed or rewritten.
